Serious preparations are taking place in Plovdiv for the upcoming 63th Sport Fishing World Championship, report the Bulgarian medias. Up to this moment 5,5 tons of carp and carassius have been released in the Rowing canal and another 2 tons of carassius are also planned.
“At the Sport Fishing World Championship, which is to take place between 12 – 18 September at the Rowing canal in Plovdiv, we expect contestants from 36 countries. We even expect to welcome countries, which have never before taken part in this sort of a competition, such as Greece or Cyprus”, said George Mihaylov, chairman of the Bulgarian Sport Fishing Federation. He also added, that the best fishermen in the world would come to Plovdiv to take part in the event.
The official opening of the 63rd Sport Fishing World Championship would take place on 15th September. The official training is on Friday, the 16th, and Saturday and Sunday, namely – 17th and 18th would be the two competition days. On the 18th at 18:30 the winners would receive their awards at a special ceremony. A dear guest to the event would be the Bulgarian Minister of Sport – Krassen Kralev.
